North Idaho is where I have grown up. This community has invested an amazing amount into our family. The list of mentors, teachers, coaches, and friends is what I am truly thankful for. I strongly believe that we have a very unique community. Training in North Idaho has its challenges in the winter, but using cross training such as skiing can really help people stay fit all year round.
In the summer and fall months there is simply nowhere better to train. The combination of trails, lakes, rural roads, and a health conscious population make for ideal conditions. Having such support and facilities like the Kroc Center anyone can aspire to becoming an athlete no matter age or background. I believe that finding people with like minded goals and starting slow can really set someone up for success if they want to achieve long term health and enjoy a more active life! Whether it is joining a yoga class, training for a 5k, or wake boarding it is all about enjoying the journey.
